If you are looking to join a junior basketball team competition are available in the following age groups:

Under 16 and Under 18 Boys - will commence Friday 6 October 2023 (for players born in 2007 to 2010)

Under 10, 12 and 14 Boys and Girls - Saturday 7 October 2023 (for players born 2011 to 2016)

Under 16/18 Grade Girls - Wednesday 4 October 2023 (for players born 2007 to 2010)

Under 23 Men and Women - Wednesday 4 October 2023 (for players born in 2002 to 2006)

If you wish to play junior basketball, you must join a club.
​
clubs look after teams that enter competitions managed by cairns basketball.
​
This means that the Club will set up and nominate teams into competitions, link a coach to the team and organise training. If you have a child that is new to Cairns Basketball, you may like to talk to a Club so that they can provide guidance. Speaking to a Club is, however, not necessary as you can simply register, and the Club will allocate your child to a team.
