Is Your Child The Next Face Of Junior Basketball in Cairns?

The initiative aims to showcase the real faces behind junior basketball in Cairns, celebrating the passion, diversity and enthusiasm of local children who love the game. 

 

Selected participants will become the official faces of junior basketball for 2026, with their images featured across Cairns Basketball marketing and promotional materials.

 

As part of the program, winning families will also receive professional photography of their children in action on the basketball court.

 

Who can apply:

• Children aged 6–11 years (born 2014-2019 inclusive)

• Must be a registered player with a Cairns Basketball Inc team

 

How to apply:
Applicants are required to submit:

• Three unedited headshot photos of the child

• One landscape video of the child explaining why they love basketball – minimum length one minute, maximum length three minutes

 

All entries will be assessed by an independent judging panel, separate from Cairns Basketball Incorporated, ensuring a fair and transparent selection process.​​
