FNQ Top Of The North Challenge – Recap

Cairns Basketball would like to thank Mareeba and Port Douglas for competing in the FNQ “Top Of The North” Challenge on the 29th and 30th October 2016.

There was a mixed bag of results with each association winning games in their respective divisions.

All in all it was a great weekend and fantastic to see Cairns, Mareeba and Port Douglas sharing the court.

The tournament also provided members of the 2016 Emerging Program with valuable game experience.

The Emerging Program is designed for players who trialed for rep who were not selected in division 1 or division 2 sides. The aim being that by providing extra training and games it will help close the gap and set athletes up for future success at next year’s trials.
