Subway Cairns Dolphins Sign Kristina Baltic
The SUBWAY Cairns Dolphins are thrilled to announce the signing of Serbian Power Forward, Kristina Baltic for their 2016 QBL Campaign.
Baltic joins the side after playing for Albury/Wodonga Lady Bandits in the SEABL last year where she averaged 13.6 points, 10.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game.
Head Coach Mark Worthington said the 25 year olds’ athleticism, tenacity and experience will help the Dolphins challenge for playoffs in 2016.
“When you bring someone in that is renowned for their rebounding and ability to create off the dribble, it’s definitely going to give your team an edge,” Worthington said.
“She has played professionally in Serbia, Slovenia, France and the Czech Republic. Her experience will only help add to the culture we are trying to grow.” Worthington added.
Baltic will join Myra Donkin, Rachel Pryor, Jade Kennedy and Teyla Evans to round out a strengthened starting group for the Dolphins.
The Dolphins start the season with a Mackay-Townsville road trip on 30th April.
